You'll work with an experienced synthesist, sound designer, and multi-instrumentalist to create the "vibe" of your track. Together, we'll curate and create a palette of custom sounds that build the overall feeling you're wanting to deliver in your song.

You’ll get a great mix that brings all of the song elements together into an immersive sonic space, pulls the listener in, and keeps the song engaging from start to end. Then, you’ll get a final master, carefully treated to sound great on any sound system.
Unlimited Revisions
I'm committed to delivering you a finished production that you love. In addition to doing much of the production live with me, you'll get unlimited revisions during the production process so we can get everything dialed in and sounding exactly how you want it to.
BONUS: Session Musicians Included
If you're interested, we can bring in session musicians (included in package) to add more humanity, personality, and authenticity to your song. We'll write their parts and then hop on a call with them while they record to make sure we get exactly the feel you're looking for.
My Start-to-Finish Production Process
I’ve refined a specific Collaborative Production Process that will help us dial in exactly the sound you’re looking for, with all the nuance and magic you love about your favorite music.
STEP ONE
Onboarding and Pre-Production
First, you’ll tell me about the vision for your song, submit stylistic references, tell me about what instrumentation you’re looking to add, and provide the initial vocal and/or instrument recordings that we’ll build the production around. If you're lyrics and melodies are just an idea or aren't quite finished yet, that's fine too! We’ll create a plan to move forward from wherever your song is right now.
STEP TWO
Collaborative Production Sessions
Then, we’ll hop on a series of live calls where I’ll produce the track live in front of you, offering you the opportunity to actively shape each production decision, give immediate feedback, and help write parts for the song. This gives you maximum control over the direction of the production, ultimately shaping how I use my skills to bring your vision alive.
During the production process, we’ll employ techniques from my own “Song Journey Architecture” method of production building, which uses a variety of subtle arrangement, production, and orchestration techniques designed to make songs as engaging and memorable as possible.
In between the collaborative sessions, I’ll be working behind the scenes to refine and polish the parts we create together, allowing our sessions to stay focused on the most important actions and decisions that will move your track toward completion.
STEP THREE
Session Musicians (Included)
If you’re interested, we can coordinate the hiring of up to 2 session musicians (included in the cost of the package) to add more humanity, personality, and authenticity to your track. We’ll need to write their parts beforehand in the production sessions, and then we can join a live call with the session musicians to critique and shape their performances toward your vision.
STEP FOUR
Polishing the Production
After the production sessions are complete and all the necessary pieces of the track are written and recorded, I will do the final polishing, editing, layering, and refinement work to get everything sounding lush, groovy, and stylized in whatever way you’re looking for. I’ll then send the final production over to you for approval or further revisions.
STEP FIVE
Mixing and Mastering
Once the production process is complete, you'll receive a beautiful mix of your track that really helps your performance shine. Once you approve the mix, I’ll send the track to a trusted professional mastering engineer to make sure the mix is balanced and ready to sound great on any sound system. You’ll walk away with a top-quality master that you’ll be excited to share with your fans!

Hey, I’m Nick Buehler, Founder of Evolutionary Music Studio 👋
As an artist myself, I understand all the hurdles and challenges of producing, finishing, and releasing music at a professional standard, and I can bring all of that skill and experience into helping you through that same process.
When I started, I pretty much set out to figure out everything on my own… but creating pro-quality music turned out to require a much larger set of skills than I initially expected! From the nuances of songwriting, composition, and arrangement to the more technical side of sound design, production, mixing, and mastering, every part of the process requires a robust set of skills to get a professional sounding result.
After spending over a decade learning, exploring and mastering all of these skills, I can fast-track your song to an engaging, professional-quality final master, without any guesswork, confusion, or needing to spend years developing the skills to be able to do it all yourself.

Q. What do I need to have or do before I can hire you?
A. To start working with me on my Full Stack Production package, you’ll just need a song with a fully written top line. You may also have chords or an instrumental part to provide a harmonic or rhythmic basis for your topline, but if not, that’s something we can create together.
If you don’t have a full song written yet, that’s ok too! You’re welcome to schedule a free call using the button below and we can make a plan to move your song forward from wherever it is!
Whether it means scheduling co-writing sessions with me, referring you to a dedicated songwriting coach, or something else entirely, I’m happy to help you make a plan to move your music forward, no matter where you are in the song creation process.
Q. How do you handle revisions?
A. I am dedicated to producing a song that you’re satisfied with, so during the production process I’m happy to keep revising until you’re totally satisfied with the production. As long as you meet some simple timeliness requirements for submitting revision requests, there is no limit for revision requests in the production stage.
During the mixing and mastering stages, you’ll get 2 revision cycles in each stage, as these parts are often entrusted to other engineers I partner with and this is their general revision policy.
Q. What’s the typical timeline for a project from start to finish?
A. This will depend on your availability to schedule production sessions, as well as how quickly you’re able to record and submit final vocal and/or instrumental recordings, but a typical timeline would be about 4 weeks to have the 3 live production sessions and finish out the production, and then another 1-2 weeks for the mixing and mastering process, including revisions.
Q. Do I have to know a lot about production to work with you?
A. Not at all! In fact, you don’t really need to know anything about production, mixing, or mastering at all. You’ll just need to fill out the initial questionnaire as best you can, provide other songs as stylistic reference points, and provide feedback as I produce your song live in the session, and we should be able to get to the sound you’re looking for no problem.
Q. Who owns the rights to the songs you produce for me?
A. You do! You own both the full publishing rights to the song and the full master recording rights once the project is finished.
Q. Will working with a producer make my song sound less like me?
A. My central goal is to bring your vision to life at the highest quality level possible. I’ll guide, refine, offer ideas, and fill in the gaps where needed, but always with your voice and message at the center. Ultimately, I want your music to sound even more like you than before.
Q. How will I get a good final vocal or instrument recording for the song?
A. If you’re in the Charlotte/Greenville/Asheville USA area, I’m happy to record you in my studio, or you can book time in a professional studio somewhere near you.

A. I’m happy to accommodate special project needs or requirements - just schedule a free call using the button below and we can chat about what you’re needing!
Q. What if I buy your package and then don’t feel like we’re clicking in the production session?
A. No worries at all! I offer a zero risk guarantee for the first production session. If by the end of our first full production session together you’re not enjoying working with me or aren’t happy with the production work I’ve done on your track so far, I’ll happily refund your entire investment.
Q. How do I know if my style and vibe will fit your production approach?
A. I understand that many conscious artists value authenticity and depth over fitting into any one genre. Whether your music leans acoustic, electronic, soulful, or experimental, I can adapt to bring out the essence of your sound.
If you’re targeting a specific genre, I’m happy to work with you toward that, and if your style exists in the space between genres, I’m also happy to work with you to build a song in whatever new or hybrid style you’re envisioning.
